Louis Sognot (1892-1970), had a wide spanning career as a designer and furniture maker during the mid 20th century. Co founding the Bureau International des Arts Français, he worked with many of the greats of the time - Charlotte Alix, Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, Pierre Jeanneret, Serge Mouille. His ground breaking designs in rattan were exhibited at the Salon des Arts Ménagers in 1939. Post war he became the specialist of light wood and rattan furniture making in France.
